Moderno Interiors fulfilled an award-winning client brief to fully renovate a two-bedroom apartment in the prestigious and affluent neighbourhood Mayfair, London. The brief was based on design that reflects opulence with a traditional timeless style, thoughtfully implementing elements of symmetric and geometric decorative mouldings merged with classical architectural detailing. The use of ornate and decorative mouldings was used to emphasise social hierarchy and underline the importance of the spaces. The one colour palette on walls, ceilings, mouldings and friezes harmonises the characteristics of the ornate plaster providing depth and detail to the overall design. Moderno Interiors successfully executed the perfect blend of entertainment spaces with practical functionality to meet the needs of a modern family.
Moderno Interiors understand the importance of space when implementing functional design elements. Subtle yet simple key changes in switching walls for wall storage and introducing wooden flooring in replacement of carpet created significant space in both bedrooms. Moderno Interiors prioritise functionality by installing fit-in wardrobes by Neatsmith providing ample of storage whilst keeping the rooms spacious. An arch was mindfully incorporated in the master bedroom to not only create a focal point of interest and form a subtle separation between the bedroom and ensuite but to blend the overall apartment layout design where an arch is featured at the entrance hallway. The Mayfair project showcases Moderno Interiors signature style in mixing contrasting trending textures with timeless and classical elements through neoclassical interior design featuring geometric flooring interplaying a variety of textures and patterns through textiles, rugs, upholstery and drapes.
